Purpose
This CDS query provides the prerequisites for answering the following business questions: Note Business questions related to revenue and margin are not applicable to internal projects. What is the total planned cost of a project or a work package? What is the cost of efforts planned in a project or work package? What is the total planned effort in a project or work package? What are the unit-based services planned in a project? How much of the planned effort has been staffed in a project or work package? What is the actual cost incurred in a project or work package? How many hours have been recorded against a project or work package? How much of unit-based services has been completed? What are the expenses planned in a work package? What are the expenses incurred in a work package? What is the effort estimated to complete a project or work package? What is the effort estimate at completion for a project or work package? What is the cost estimated to complete a project or work package? What is the cost estimate at completion for a project or work package? What is the percentage of completion in different work packages? What is the percentage of completion for a project? Which projects were changed relative to a particular date?
Prerequisites
Users who want to run reports using this CDS view must have a role based on the business role template listed in the table above. In this role, the following restrictions must be set to read access: Service Organization Subactivity for Master Project Authorization These restrictions are edited in the Maintain Business Roles app. Note To view the details of projects that involve blocked customers or business partners, you must have the additional authorization of an external auditor.
Structure
Object types This view is built on the following object types: Engagement Project Main CDS parameters and filters The main parameters are as follows: Forecast Date This parameter specifies the date until which you want relevant information. You must enter an input in the format YYYY0MM , where MM is the numeric period corresponding to the calendar month. Service Organization can be used to filter results based on the service organization assigned to projects. Project can be used to retrieve results for a specific project. Work Package can be used to retrieve results for a specific work package. Sales Document can be used to retrieve results for a specific sales document. The main filters are: My Projects This field can be used to filter projects based on the user's assignment to any of the project roles. Enter X to retrieve only the user's projects or enter ' ' to retrieve projects that the user is authorized to access. Tip To experience optimal performance in filtering and displaying results, it is recommended that you use this parameter in combination with other parameters. Project Changed On This field can be used to search for projects that have been changed relative to a particular date. Enter the date in the format YYYYMMDDHHMMSS. Project Type This field indicates whether the project is a customer or an internal project, and can be used to narrow down the search results. Measures and attributes Note Transactions posted as periodic foreign currency valuations are excluded from the actual amounts.
