CategorySD Documents and Sales Documents
Purpose
This CDS view provides the prerequisites for answering questions about the preceding items of a sales document item (that is, the process flow). Example business questions could include: Which preceding items does my sales document item have? What's the document category of the preceding item of my sales document item? Which process flow level is this preceding document on? The process flow level describes the degree of separation between a document and its preceding documents. For example, if you have a sales order that references a sales quotation, it works as follows: For the sales quotation (which is the direct predecessor of a sales order), the value would be 00 . For a sales inquiry, the value would be 01 . When was the preceding item created? To help you decide which CDS view to use for your purposes, SAP has introduced the annotation ObjectModel.supportedCapabilities that indicates the most appropriate use cases for each CDS view. To find out what use cases are best supported by this CDS view, access the entry of the CDS view in the View Browser app and find the values for this annotation under the Annotation tab. For more information, see Supported Capabilities for CDS Views .
